This has been a contentious issue for the surrounding community, something they overwhelmingly do not support.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013, the Progressive Conservatives tabled a resolution in the House opposing the deactivation of these mechanisms and asking the Enviro minister at the time to instruct HRM to keep these processes in place.
