However, they were quickly at capacity in just a few years since they opened back in about 1999. In fact, HRM has had to have the leaves composted separately, in an outdoor facility, in order to take some of the pressure off the two indoor facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Those facilities are now getting pretty old, so HRM is preparing now for how it will handle organic waste in the future.
